Safety model

Local, moderated, and privacy-aware by design.

Total Free Community is built around a small pilot area, free physical items, moderated public posts, and private pickup coordination after a request is accepted.

Invite-only pilot

Invite codes and local filtering help keep the first version focused on the Semiahmoo, South Surrey, and White Rock community.

Moderated listings

Posts are reviewed before public browsing. Moderation is designed to reject unsafe details, non-free posts, services, and posts outside the item-only scope.

Private coordination

Exact pickup details are not part of public listings. Members coordinate privately after a giver accepts a request.

Public posts should stay approximate

Useful public details include the item category, condition, general pickup area, and a clear description. Private details such as exact home address, phone number, email address, or direct contact information should stay out of public posts.

This keeps the exchange useful for neighbors while reducing unnecessary exposure for families, students, and community members.

Reports and moderation

Members can report posts or interactions that appear unsafe or outside the community rules. Moderators can review reports, hide posts when needed, and keep records of moderation decisions.
